Lynch Speaks on [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] , Trade Talks
Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550) -- Before Thursday's practice at One Bills Drive, Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch spoke to a few members of the media about the comments made by Green Bay Packers' quarterback [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] and about his status with the team.
At first, Lynch didn't seem in any mood to take questions on the matter.
"As of right now, all I know is I'm taking hand-offs from Fitz or Trent, or Brohm so I mean,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that's really all I've got to say about that."
Then, things opened up a bit after teammate and cornerback Drayton Florence, who's locker is right next to Lynch's, interrupted the interview with by joking to Marshawn:
"You know you're traded, right? You and me, package deal!"
Lynch joked back to Florence, "So we're out this thing, huh? I guess [Drayton] just killed the whole thing, man!
Then asked again about his role with the team, Lynch offered up a little bit more to the media.
"If it's gonna happen it's going to happen. What will I be able to do about it. If they say to go, what am I going to do, tell them no? If they say I'm going to stay, I mean I'm here so, and they say I'm not going nowhere then come on let's continue to build on this thing, and let's get better."
[link widoczny dla zalogowanych] was whole-heartedly behind the idea of bringing Lynch to Green Bay during his post-practice interview on Wednesday. The Packers were dealt a blow by losing their top rusher, Ryan Grant, for the season with an ankle injury.
Lynch and [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] were teammates once before, playing together at Cal before both were taken in the first round of an NFL Draft. [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] went 24th overall in 2005, and Lynch 12th overall in 2007.
Lynch spoke as to what kind of leader [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] was at Cal.
"Aaron is a funny dude, he likes to have fun," said the Bills' running back. "As long as you know what you had on a play, he's a real relaxed guy, bust a joke on you here or there. He might bust a joke on you in the huddle. He was kind of a motivating leader. 'If you don't got it well come and talk to me and we can get it together.'"
The Bills take on [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
