In 1994, the famous movie directorRoger Corman hired her to supervise music for the film Caged Heat 3000. Some of these films include Piranha-which saw Patsavas under the music supervision role, Macon County Jail, as music co-ordinator [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Black Rose of Harlem as music director.
Patsavas has also lent her talent to the movie industry for the films Remember Me, The Invisible and New In Town. Most notable work is her involvement with the Twilight Saga. Alexandra Patsavas is a music supervisor working for some of the biggest TV shows and movies in the entertainment industry. What makes Patsavas different to other music supervisors is that she sources new music from unknown bands worldwide, giving them a chance to reach massive audiences by using their music in hit shows such as Greys Anatomy and Gossip Girl. A producer of the enormously popular Twilight Saga soundtracks, Patsavas has worked on these films by making the musican important and impacting factor in various scenes. Her most recent releases (from Chop Shop Records) are the debut album from Marina and the Diamonds, and the Twilight: Eclipse Soundtrack.
In 1998 Alexandra Patsavas formed ‘Chop Shop Music Supervision’, a company hired by Josh Scwartz for his drama The OC. This brought about the production of six soundtrack c.ds from the show, filled with new indie-rock musicians, some possibly unheard of until then (Phantom Planet, The Subways, The Walkmen and BellX1). The show also ran live music from ‘The Bait Shop’, ensuring music was an integral part of the show- live performances include The Thrills, Modest Mouse, and The Killers.
