Over the previous couple of seasons, I’ve noticed far more and much more Chanel fans expressing disappointment of one particular sort or another with the brand’s handbags. Too gimmicky, too high priced, not loyal enough to the brand’s consumer base – we heard at least one particular, if not all, of those opinions every single time we posted about a Chanel bag in this space. If you’re a former client who has identified yourself disenchanted, you may would like to take a glimpse at the bags from Chanel Spring 2011.
It’s challenging to term this collection a return to form, because the brand appears to usually churn out a few sought-after baggage every season, no matter what. So I’ll just say this: a lot of of the bags that went down the runway in Paris’s Grand Palais yesterday presented wearable, luxurious, aesthetically pleasing options for grown women in a number of circumstances. From tiny, glittering flap evening luggage to clutches made to appear like old leather-bound books, the inventiveness of seasons past was nonetheless present; it just managed to show up alongside points like oversized 2.55 leather clutches devoid of a gimmick in sight.
