But Kansas City coach Todd Haley said his team isn’t taking chances. The Chiefs prepared this week for [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a traditional drop-back passer, and the more mobile Seneca Wallace,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a former Iowa State star who would start if [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] were unavailable.
[link widoczny dla zalogowanych] doubtful for Browns
“Whenever that occurs, it’s always a problem,” Haley said. “It’s always a bigger problem than knowing who it is.”
The Chiefs got their firmest signal yet Friday that Cleveland quarterback [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] will be held out of Sunday’s game. The Browns listed [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] as doubtful because of an ankle injury.
Haley said that it requires more work to get ready for two quarterbacks but that it’s necessary to cover all possibilities.
Haley said he would prefer this scenario rather than a surprise, such as when a team makes a quarterback switch during a game.
“That’s just as difficult,” he said. “You’ve prepared all week for one, and whether someone gets injured or they change the quarterback, you have to see somebody that you haven’t prepared (for).”
