Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast left a soldier with NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) dead in Afghanistan on Wednesday, bringing the casualties of the military alliance to four in a single day [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a statement of ISAF released said.
"An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan today [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," the statement asserted.
This is the second attack on NATO-led forces in the military- ridden country on Wednesday. In the previous strike also in the shape of IED, three International Security Assistance Force service members lost their lives in the eastern region of Afghanistan.
However [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the military alliance did not reveal the nationalities of the victims, saying it is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.
Sixteen soldiers with the NATO-led troops have been killed in Afghanistan since beginning this year.
