you really want your child to adore learning and to be successful in life, then let school be his job.
Imagine this: you come family after a long daytime at work and your husband yells, "YOUR BOSS CALLED TO TELL ME THAT YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THAT PROJECT YET!!! I AM GOING TO SIT OVER YOU EVERY NIGHT UNTIL YOU GET IT DONE! AND YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT YOUR TENNIS GAME THIS WEEKEND!"
How would you feel about your mate? Your boss? Your job? Would you want to go behind to work the next morning?
A children feels the same path while his parents horse him and fight with him about his homework. He may begin to repulsion his parents, his teacher, his school and his work. The normal love of learning that came packed inside of him when he was nativity disappears.
FLUNKING OUT
Forcing a child to do his work also prevents him from getting secondhand to taking the duty as his assignment above his shoulders. In fact, I understand three youth folk who were consistently top students in educate until they went away apt institute. One student even had a full 4-year value scholarship. All 3 flunked out along the end of freshman year because their parents did no attach them to seminary. They had not learned how to do their work on their own.
THEN SHOULD YOU JUST NEGLECT YOUR CHILD'S EDUCATION?
If you are assumed to let school be your child's job [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], do you get to retire from being involved in his schooling?
Sorry, you can't get off the anchor that easily.
Your character is twofold: setting the stage for learning and acting as a learning consultant.
SET THE STAGE FOR LEARNING BY:
=> perusing to and with your child.
=> taking your child to libraries, parks, repositories and historical sites.
=> limiting television and video game period.
=> including your child in family chores such as cooking, laundry, gardening and washing dishes. Many of these activities teach science and math meantime instilling independence and responsibility.

=> discussing such things as kin stories, baseball scores, the changing leaves and new events.
=> heeding school features and doing volunteer work for your child's school. This tin help your child worth his school and adore his instructors.
=> setting up a good location for your child to do his work.
=> providing your child with the supplies he absences.
=> putting aside one "lawful" block of time every p.m. or nightfall for homework. During this time the television is off and the phone works unanswered.
LEARNING CONSULTANT
Your job during the block of homework time is to serve as a learning consultant, obtainable for characteristic requests ONLY. If your child asks, you can test him on his spelling words, help him work through a difficult arithmetic problem or annotate some difficult directions. Otherwise, reserve yourself busy making banquet, balancing your checkbook, reading the weekly, etc.
WHO'S THE BOSS?
So, you have set the stage and attempted your services as a learning adviser. What if your child is still not doing his homework? Is it time to hover over him and wail by him?
No.
Let's face it. Your own boss wouldn't really tattle to your husband whether you missed a deadline. Instead [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she might acquaint you to skip luncheon, linger late or work the weekbring ... to an end mandate to complete your project.
Similarly [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], since school is your child's job, his teacher namely his boss. Therefore, it namely the teacher's responsibility to show your child that there are rational consequences for not completing his work, such as:
