METAIRIE, La. ― Linebacker Jonathan Vilma and cornerback [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] were officially listed as probable for the Saints’ Thursday curtain raiser at the Superdome.
Both have been limited in practice all week, Vilma resting a groin injury and [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] taking it easy on a left knee issue.
Offensive tackle Zach Strief (right knee), meanwhile, did not practice for the second day in a row and is listed as questionable.
The Saints open their season against the Vikings in a much-anticipated game Thursday. It’s a rematch of New Orleans’ 31-28 overtime win in January’s NFC championship game.
Others for the Saints:
Tight end Jimmy Graham (right ankle) was full and is listed as probable;
Free safety Pierson Prioleau (left knee) was full and is listed as probable;
Wide receiver Marques Colston (kidney) was full and is listed as probable;
Defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove (right knee) was limited and is listed as probable;
Linebacker Stanley Arnoux (right ankle) did not practice and is out;
Running back Chris Ivory (left knee) did not practice and is out.
For the Vikings:
Quarterback Brett Favre (ankle) was full and is probable;
Safety Jamarca Sanford (anle) was full and is probable;
Center John Sullivan (calf) was full and is probable;
Running back Toby Gerhart (knee) was limited and is questionable;
Cornerback Cedric Griffin (knee) was limited and is questionable;
Cornerback Chris Cook (knee) did not practice and is out;
Defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy (knee) did not practice and is out.
