Five-star linebacker Curtis Grant visiting Florida this weekend
As Curtis Grant’s high school coach explained what a great kid he is, the five-star linebacker was en route to Gainesville for his official visit at Florida.
“He’s just a really special person,” said
Patrick Kane Jersey
, Grant’s coach at Hermitage High in Richmond,
MLB Jerseys
, Va. “On top of that, he’s a really daggone good football player. He’s an even better teammate than he is a player.”
A 6-foot-3, 222-pound linebacker, Grant is the top player at his position and third of any position, according to
Rivals.com
.
Scout.com
ranks him as the third-best linebacker in the country and 19th best overall prospect.
ESPN
also has him third at inside linebacker and 45th over.
Patrick Kane Jersey
said Grant has narrowed his list to four. He has already visited Ohio State, will visit Florida this weekend and will take officials to North Carolina and Virginia in the next two weeks.
As to what Grant is looking for in a school and football program,
Patrick Kane Jersey
couldn’t say. He said Grant is playing that close to the chest so no coaches try to cater to what he wants to hear.
“He’s handling it quite well. He’s basically put most of it off until his high school season was over,” said
Patrick Kane Jersey
. “He’s been very mature about it and handling it really well.”
Clay Burton is the Gators’ only linebacker commit in the class of 2011. He has already enrolled at Florida, but could play defensive end. The Gators lose seniors A.J. Jones and Brandon Hicks at linebacker this season
