It's love at first sight, but Billy is too nervous to ask her out, and fails to make an impression. Minutes later, while Horrible ponders the dilemma of how to win Penny over and also come up with the perfect plan to finally destroy Capt. Hammer (thus being accepted in to the the latter jumps to the rescue to save the beauty from an out of control van.
With most TV shows having ground to a halt at that time, Whedon decided to produce a fun, independent story, using the Internet as his medium. When the three-part musical went live over the course of a week in mid-July 2009, fans went nuts for it, having found a new Whedon product. The three parts in turn went viral, and a phenomenon was born.

In addition to the awesome catchy tunes ("My Freeze Ray" and "Brand New Day" are amongst the best ones), much of the success of this project is thanks to the brilliantly funny interplay between lead stars Harris and Filion. Both actors have incredible comic sense gucci purses for cheap, and have no qualms about hamming it up as villain and hero, respectively.
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Synopsis
Here, though gucci outlet, Whedon goes a different route, making his mini movie/online show a deliberate musical, with the lyrics adding to the already hilarious storyline. Shot and produced entirely by Whedon and his brethren at a relatively minimal cost of roughly $200,000, this great satire was born out of a means to avoid the restrictions of the Writers' Strike from a few year back.
While cleaning his tighty whities at the local coin-op laundromat, Dr. Horrible (in his civilian identity, naturally) meets Penny (Felicia Day), a beautiful redhead working nearby trying to get signatures to save a homeless shelter.
All the while, this tale is told in a series of witty songs, humorous breaks into the fourth wall and slapstick galore.
The very first thought which may run through the minds of millions of Whedonites will be: what's with all the singing?
Hammer begins a romance with Penny, infuriating Horrible. Though it may cost him his much sought-after membership, Billy/Horrible becomes hellbent in pointing out to his unrequited love interest just how self-centered her new beau is, and break them up once and for all. If Captain Hammer dies in the process, hey cheap gucci, bonus, right?
Well, to answer that question, fans should look no further than a sixth season episode of Whedon's hit series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, entitled "Once More, with Feeling." In it, the cast of characters are forced by a demon to break out into song at random, causing much confusion and amusement. That episode went on to become the most popular of the series' seven-season run, even launching a related soundtrack.

Billy, AKA Dr. Horrible (Harris, TV's How I Met Your Mother) has forever been trying to gain entry into the reputed Evil League of Evil (or but has seen every attempt to impress them foiled by the perfectly coiffed and muscular Captain Hammer (Filion, TV's Castle, also in Whedon's former series Firefly).
