Top executives from CompuPacific International recently completed a week-long series of visits to leading Chinese insurance companies. The CPI team and their hosts exchanged information about industry challenges and business process outsourcing solutions.
Company president and founder Michael Liu led the "road show" to headquarters in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Shenzhen from Feb. 25 to Feb. 1. Participants included Andy Wu, vice president of operations; Echo Tang, chief systems architect; Max Bai, director of marketing and IT engineers.
CPI is a pioneering leader in outsourcing support for the domestic insurance industry, which has grown rapidly because of deregulation and China's robust economy. With more than 10 years of vertical industry knowledge from serving Western life, property and health insurers, CPI helps streamline premium collection, account maintenance, customer relationship management and marketing services. The company also provides end-to-end business process outsourcing solutions that include scanning, data capture, voice support and printing services.
"Extended conversations and brainstorming are an important part of process improvements," says Liu, "so this was a productive week for everyone. We deepened our knowledge of client situations and set the stage for collaborative relationships."
The seven-day itinerary included presentations to these companies:
New China Life Insurance Co.: The country's fifth-largest life insurance provider, a CPI client since 2007, is based in Beijing. It also offers health, accident and annuity policies.
Taikaing Life Insurance Corp.: Also based in the national capital, it provides life, annuity and health coverage through 120 branch offices.
Ping An Property Insurance (Group) Co. of China: This firm,Telecommunication provider, with headquarters in Shenzhen, provides life, property,mobile development outsourcing, health, cargo and business insurance, as well as annuities. Ren Huichuan, chairman and CEO, shared views on industry trends and discussed possible future collaboration.
CompuPacific's marketing delegation also visited China Tai Ping Insurance Co., Union Life Insurance Co. in Beijing,Pharmaceutical software, firms in Hangzhou and CITIC-Prudential Life Insurance Co. in Guangzhou, the financial center of South China.
