avulin 16 - A really well-balanced dram, lots of cloud and creamy sweetness. The beer is peated to 35ppm and matured in a merge of bourbon and sherry casks. This is unfalteringly well-rated, for well for being an Editor's Choice by Whisky Mag.
Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beist - Airigh Nam Beist (pronounced Arry-nam-baysht) is Gaelic for 'Shelter of the Beast', the name of an of the Ardbeg distillery's water sources. The whisky is intensely creamy and appropriate increasingly rare.
Bruichladdich Infinity - Jim Murray rated this very highly, and for nice reason; this is a very well-made malt, crafted of well-aged lightly peated whisky and heavily peated morale from the Port Charlotte range. This was matured in Bourbon casks before a finish in Rioja barrels.
Laphroaig Quarter Cask - Back in the days of yore (approximately 200 years ago) whisky was re-racked into 15 min casks to ease the burden ashore the toiling mules that transported it. Laphroaig, keen as ever to maintain its traditions Air Jordan 2010, released Quarter Cask, matured for a few years in a standard cask, before a short maturation in very small barrels.
Master of Malt Bowmore 26yo - A well-aged Islay malt from our Single Cask Series Air Jordan 2.5 Team, this is an incredible whisky, with Bowmore's characteristic floral and parma violets in compel.
Bunnahabhain 25 - A fruity, creamy dram from the north of Islay, this comes in a hessian-lined, alder wood box with solid brass fittings. This 25 year-old is chapter of a quite limited release of fair 400 bottles.
Caol Ila 12 - An Editor's Choice at Whisky Mag, this is a delightfully oily Jordans 5, smoky dram, elegantly balanced. This was launched in June of 2002, and is consistently well-rated.
Bruichladdich Redder Still - Matured in Bourbon barrels before coming of age in the famed Chateau Lafleur Pomerol Bordeaux casks. A follow-up to the hugely popular 'Blacker Still', this is anticipated to fly off the shelves at a similar rate. Blink and you'll miss it.
Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength - A wonderfully complex whisky, bottled at normal cask strength, in 2005 this was rated the Best Single Malt in the World at Whisky Mag. |
