| On Tuesday, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin made his feelings clear regarding the league's decision to point to linebacker James Harrison's play in Week Seven (specifically,MLB Jerseys, when he pulled up at a time when he could have blown up Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown Jersey) as evidence that the new emphasis on preventing illegal hits against defenseless receivers is working.
In an interview with Bob Costas of NBC's Football Night in America, Tomlin suggests that the league was searching for proof to support its desire to show that the aggressive response to the October 17 rash of concussions. "In that particular instance, they were painting a picture that they wanted to see," Tomlin tells Costas. "The way I viewed that play was that Ronnie Brown Jersey caught the ball clean and ducked out like a savvy veteran football player. He's the person that eliminated the contact as opposed to James pulling off. I took exception to using James in that way." Tomlin also said that he disagrees with the league's decision to change enforcement during the season. "When you start looking at things that you discussed in the off-season and adjusting during the season, you're doing it from an emotional standpoint," Tomlin said. "Usually emotional decisions aren't good ones. It was an overreaction to a couple of unfortunate incidents that occurred a few weeks ago."
