| Last Minute Trip
March 8th 2011 - I am sooo excited! I just got a call from my youth group leader who said that a spot had opened up in the mission trip to Puerto Rico. We’re going there to visit an orphanage to help the children who have been abandoned by their parents. Many have disabilities and very few of them can read or write in English or Spanish. We’re going to help them learn English and basic writing skills. I’ve seen pictures online and they’re very cute. Unfortunately it’s late in the game so I need some fast fundraising ideas to help pay for the room and board, the flights,cutting tools, the travel visa, the passport fees (including getting photos taken) traveler’s insurance and getting to and from the airport. I’ll also need money for lodging and some of the fun excursions. I also want to bring the children candy and toys. So maybe I can incorporate that into my fundraising.
